Eddie Huffman (Part-time Assistant Manager) is a writer, editor, and photographer who studied English and history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has written for the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Utne Reader, and many other magazines and newspapers. He co-wrote four feature-length screenplays and three computer books: Classic Computer Games, Fun With Windows, and Kids’ Computer Games. He has appeared on The Today Show and once had lunch with James Brown. He is the father of two young men and a lifelong resident of North Carolina.
Lesley Landis (Graphic Designer) of Lesley Landis Designs enjoys working with artists, non-profit agencies, and educational institutions to help create, distribute and promote their work. In addition to Carolina Wren Press, she has designed for the Orange County Artists Guild, the Chatham County Arts Council, the Chatham County Economic Development Corporation, the Chatham Marketplace, Duke HomeCare & Hospice, and Duke University Special Collections at Perkins Library, among others. Lesley Landis is also President of ChathamArts. She began designing books for Carolina Wren Press in 2005 with the publication of Jaki Shelton Green’s Breath of the Song, and also designs all of our publicity materials and brochures.
Anita Mills (Volunteer Graphic Designer, Fundraising Consultant) left her position as Chair of the Art Department at St. Cloud State University to come to the Triangle area in 1989. From 1991 to 1996, she was the publications specialist for the Office of University Development at Duke University. From 1996 to 1998, she was a major gifts officer for the Departments and Programs of Fine Arts at Duke University. In 1998, she left Duke to pursue her studio work in ceramics full-time. She continues to do graphic design projects in her spare time. She painted the “Zen Wren” featured in our logo.
